Dear Sir and Brother,

We are writing to inform the C.O.G.M.N.A. that the allegations you are making in the United States regarding the disloyal and unmasonic behavior of the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Italy, Mr. Stefano Bisi, are being reported by the Italian press and Telegram media dedicated to Freemasonry.

The news that the Grand Lodge of Alaska has disavowed the Grand Orient of Italy and that other American Grand Lodges are preparing to do so is proof of what we here in Italy have known for many years.

How is it possible that Stefano Bisi declared to the British Grand Chancellor, Paul Engeham, in February 2023, that there is territorial recognition in Italy between the G.O.I. and the Regular Grand Lodge of Italy, and declared to you, in a letter dated February 25, 2025, that there is enmity between the two Grand Lodges?

You said it right, and it was reported in the Italian press: “It’s a farce.”

In addition to this disloyalty, dear Brother, you should know that a few days ago, 554 Worshipful Masters of the G.O.I. were invited by the G.O.I.’s civil lawyer, Raffaele D’Ottavio, to sign a document requesting an extraordinary Grand Lodge. Their purpose was to disobey an order issued by a Civil Magistrate, who blocked the new elections scheduled for February 1st, aimed at renewing the Grand Mastership, requesting a recount of the ballots cast in March 2024.

We ask you, dear Brother, how it is possible that the G.O.I. received recognition from the U.G.L.E. on the basis of false declarations. We ask you how it is possible that the Grand Master of the G.O.I. acts against the Constitution of the G.O.I., which has not been amended in the part that provides for territorial exclusivity, and against the Ancient Duties, which do not permit insubordination towards the Civil Magistrate.

We also ask you, dear Brother, how the G.O.I. can still be considered worthy of recognition within international Freemasonry.
